Kay Study (born Mohammed Issah on 9 March 2005) is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and graphic designer. Known for his genre-blending sound and emotionally resonant lyrics, Kay Study combines Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and Pop to create music that reflects personal growth, resilience, and cultural expression. He began his career as part of the duo Richkid & Gallo Khatel before launching a solo career in 2024. He signed with Road Wave Records in July 2025.
Mohammed Issah was born on 9 March 2005 in Cape Coast, the capital of Ghana's Central Region. He began his education at Christnam Preparatory School and later attended Abura T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School for junior high. In 2022, he graduated from Agona Fankobaa Senior High School.
From a young age, Kay Study showed strong creative abilities. As a child, he crafted objects from paper and cardboard, including slippers and a WWE championship belt replica, revealing early signs of his artistic passion.
Kay Study was born to Memuna Ishaque (mother) and Nicholas Appiah (father). He has four siblings:

Kay Study began his music career in 2022 as one half of the duo Richkid & Gallo Khatel, alongside his cousin Emmanuel Begyem (stage name: Gallo Khatel). They were associated with Jamscity Music Records, releasing six tracks:

Outside music, Kay Study is also a graphic designer. He has long expressed himself visually and creatively, often making art and designs from found materials since childhood. His interest in visual arts continues to influence his aesthetic and branding as an artist.
